When should you seek help?

As a general guide, it’s worth seeking support if:

You have been trying for 12 months (<35 years)
You have been trying for 6 months (≥35 years)
Your cycles are irregular or absent
You have known conditions such as endometriosis or PCOS
You have experienced miscarriage
You have concerns about your fertility or future family planning

Earlier assessment can often provide reassurance — or identify factors that are easily addressed.

Life Fertility Approach

Fertility care is not one-size-fits-all.

At Life Fertility Clinic, the focus is on thorough assessment and individualised care.

Careful investigation upfront can often reduce unnecessary treatments, shorten time to pregnancy, and improve overall outcomes.

Dr Davie takes the time to understand your history, concerns, and goals — and work with you to find the most appropriate and efficient pathway forward.

What does a fertility assessment involve?

A comprehensive assessment may include:

·      Blood tests (including hormone levels & AMH)
·      Pelvic ultrasound
·      Assessment of ovulation
·      Tubal patency testing (where appropriate)
·      Semen analysis
·      Consideration of underlying conditions such as endometriosis

In some cases, further investigations may be recommended to better understand why conception has not occurred.

What are my fertility treatment options?

Every fertility journey is unique.

Some patients conceive with minimal support, while others may need more advanced treatment. Dr Stacey Davie provides guidance with honesty, clarity and care, tailoring each step to suit individual needs.

Treatment may include:

Optimising Natural Conception
·      Cycle tracking and timing
·      Lifestyle and preconception care
·      Ovulation support

Ovulation Induction
Medications to help stimulate ovulation in women who are not ovulating regularly.

Intrauterine Insemination
A less invasive treatment where sperm is placed directly into the uterus at the time of ovulation.

In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF)
A more advanced treatment where eggs are fertilised in the laboratory and an embryo is transferred to the uterus. Importantly, IVF is not always the first or only option - and simpler treatments are often considered first where appropriate.

Fertility Preservaion and Advanced Options
·      Egg or embryo freezing
·      Pre-implantation genetic testing (PGT)
·      Donor treatment and surrogacy (when required)

How do I know how long fertility treatment might take?

Fertility journeys differ for everyone.

Some conceive quickly with minimal support, while others may require several treatment cycles. We aim to provide realistic guidance tailored to your situation.

What are the costs?

Fertility care can involve a range of different investigations and treatments, and costs will vary depending on the pathway that is most appropriate for each individual.

At the initial consultation, the following will be discussed:

·       Recommended investigations
·       Potential treatment options
·       Likely costs moving forward

This allows patients to make informed decisions about their care, with a clear understanding of what to expect.

Approximate out of pocket costs for fertility consultations (after medicare rebates have been claimed):

Initial appointment: $215 (total for both you and your partner)
Follow up appointments: $110 (total for both you and your partner)
