About Dr Stacey Davie

Dr Stacey Davie is a caring and compassionate gynaecologist dedicated to supporting women’s health at every stage of life.

She obtained her medical degree (MBBS/BMedSci) from the University of Melbourne and has spent over a decade focusing on women’s health, training across a variety of hospitals in both metropolitan and rural areas of Victoria and Queensland.

She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRANZCOG), and during her advanced training, completed special interest modules in Hysteroscopic and Laparoscopic Surgery, as well as Colposcopy.

Dr Davie also undertook fellow roles in the subspecialties of Gynaecological Oncology and Urogynaecology, further broadening her clinical knowledge and surgical expertise. She pursued this additional training to ensure she could deliver the most current, comprehensive, and holistic care for her patients.

Practice

Dr Davie has joined her colleagues at GYON, based at Mater Private, to provide benign gynaecology services within the practice. Together, the team offers a comprehensive, all-female gynaecological service, encompassing the full spectrum of care - from routine outpatient management to advanced gynaecological surgery for any benign or malignant gynaecological conditions.

Surgical Approach

Dr Davie offers a wide range of surgical options, with a focus on minimally invasive techniques such as laparoscopic (keyhole) and hysteroscopic surgery. She also performs vaginal and open abdominal procedures, always choosing the most appropriate approach based on each woman’s condition and preferences.
Patient-centred Philosophy
Dr Davie is committed to providing personalised, respectful care, and prides herself on building strong, trusting relationships with her patients. She understands that seeing a gynaecologist can feel daunting and takes every step to ensure her patients feel safe, heard, well-informed, and empowered throughout their health journey.
Advocacy and Community Involvement
Beyond the clinic, Dr Davie is passionate about education and advocacy. She regularly speaks at women’s health events and recently completed the Epic Coast to Coast Challenge in New Zealand to raise funds for gynaecological cancer research. She has also participated in several overseas medical aid missions focused on improving access to women's healthcare.
Research and Education
A strong advocate for evidence-based practice, Dr Davie has authored and contributed to numerous women's health research projects and holds a position as Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland, through which she enjoys mentoring the next generation of doctors.
Outside of Medicine
When not caring for her patients, Stacey enjoys spending time with her young family, staying active, travelling, and discovering the best coffee in town!

Dr Davie is a member of the Australian Gynaecological Endoscopy and Surgery Society (AGES), Australasian Menopause Society (AMS), Pelvic Pain Foundation of Australia and International Gynaecologic Cancer Society (IGCS).
